Trainings and Consultation
The primary method of receiving training in TGCTA is to host a training at your site. Trainings can accommodate between a few (5-6) and many trainees (40, 50, or possibly more; large groups typically require multiple trainers) and are customized according to needs of the population you serve and your local training needs.

- A two-day basic on-site training is available that furnishes participants with the foundational understanding, knowledge, and skills needed to begin offering TGCTA to groups or individual clients.
- A more advanced three-day on-site training is also available that incorporates additional topics relating to multidimensional grief theory, clinical assessment, case formulation, treatment planning, treatment monitoring, and flexibly tailoring TGCTA’s four modules according to youths’ specific assessment profiles.
- An alternative off-site option is to send your staff to a regional TGCTA training hosted by another site, or to attend a training yourself if you are in private practice. This option would involve paying a fee per person to the hosting facility.
Consistent with implementation science principles, monthly follow-up consultation calls are available that focus on implementing and adapting TGCTA according to your clients’ specific needs.
